Day one. Less than three hours old. Alice looks tired, but is a caring mum. The puppies nuzzle the milk bar and sort of squirm along. Even at this age with eyes and ears closed they can smell her scent.
Day five and relaxed and proud girlie looks after her babies, who are now beginning raise themselves on the hindquarters as they push against her to get milk. They are now very active in looking for her when they scent her arrival in the box.
Today just chillin'
Babies relaxing and Alice resting on my bed. We had a visitor Adam Masri was home from his holiday somewhere on Ben Nevis, and jogging past the house thought he would like to pop in and see the pups. Adam & Ian are my vets from Hampden House in Aylesbury. If only had my camera when Adam saw the pups ...... I don't know many vets who pop in to visit on their days off to make a fuss of their patients. Adam was always dropping in when Arthur was ill earlier in the year.
