Arthur and Alice chillin' Glad somebody can dogs! I have spent a frustrating day trying to capture a picture of the babies who are pushing themselves up to begin their first wobbly dog steps.
Every time I got ready Alice would come and poke her nose in or settle down to feed them again. Never mind I will get that picture!

Here is today's picture. Another of Alice feeding the fat little furbabies.

An old picture not very clear of the dogs who took part in the original Bucks area flatcoat training group run by my ex husband and myself in 1981 to 1985. One of the dogs in the group was owned Sheila Neary who later went on to become the FCRS Field Trial Secretary and another was owned by Anne Youens who went on to become the FCRS Show Secretary, (for the Flatcoated Retriever Society, if you are guessing what FCRS stands for). Another dog in the group became the mother to one of the first flatcoats taken on by Guide Dogs for the Blind. The picture was taken in the paddock behind Dinton Hall (famous for the Dinton Hermit). Trisha who lived in Dinton Hall at the time is now married to Laird Robin Malcolm and lives in a castle complete with a ghost!
